Solar Invincible and Madman are closely weighted based on a c/d run on July 27. Court Alert and Deadline will be racing in a handicap for the first time. A good run from Guernsey Angel from her current rating wouldn’t be a surprise. Maid In Devon had won three in a row before tasting defeat at Salisbury last time from today’s rating.
Dundalk winner Two And Two will be having his first run for new connections in England. He was acquired, though, for just 3,000gns. Pilgrim’s Progress ran her best race to date when just beaten in a Wolverhampton maiden last time. Double Naughty won a Bath handicap from today’s rating in May so can’t be ruled out of a good run. Koffee And Kale was rated 74 a year ago and arrives here rated 63 so a good run can’t be ruled out from her too.

18:11 6f12y handicap, 3yo+, 0-60 (4 E/W Places)
Lightly raced, Rianka arrives on the back of a win. Elmfield has shown promise and will now race in a handicap for the first time. He cost 50,000gns as a yearling. One For Harvey won from a mark of 60 in May 2025 and is now rated 53 on what will be just her second run for her new trainer. She finished 2.75 lengths behind Rianka last time and is now 6lbs better off. Legendsoftheland has won two of his last three races and has gone up only one pound for the latest of them.
The Feminine Urge is well-weighted based on her best 2025 form. Lahina Bay has been a great servant, winning seven races. Beelzebub is generally better on an all-weather surface, but the odd bit of turf form means you can’t put a line through his chance. Connections got Methgal from Ireland (he won at Dundalk) for just 6,000gns recently and he ran well on his first run for his new connections. Rye has yet to win in 18 starts but finished second over c/d from today’s rating in May. Ragaire will be having his first run since switching to Ollie Sangster from the yard of Joseph O’Brien, but he changed hands for just 3,500gns.
Selection: In a headscratcher of a race, the in-form Rianka is a hopeful selection (7/1)
18:41 8f31y handicap, 3yo+, 0-85
Mia Sunshine has won two of her last three races, both in France, and ran in a Listed race last time. She hasn’t been seen for 264 days but has had a breathing operation since we last saw her. Check the betting for clues. She was sold for €130,000 after that listed run. Clouds Hill has yet to build yet on a 10f win from a 2lb-lower mark in April.
Great Chieftain was rated 93 at the start of the year following a Haydock win over 8f so, from a rating now of 82, a good run would hardly be a surprise. And neither would it be from Knights Gold, who won over today’s trip at Ascot from today’s rating just over a year ago. Colourband is lightly raced and ran well when second at Ayr last time, albeit over 10f, which is the only distance over which he has won; a tongue-tie goes on for the first time today.
Magical Merlot‘s best run so far has come over c/d, but he finished third that day from today’s rating. Signcastle City has won five races, including over 8f at Ripon two years ago when rated 83. He is now rated 73. Too Hot To Tango won over c/d when rated 70 two runs ago and is now rated 73. She’s lightly raced so could have more to come.
Selection: Again, it’s a hopeful choice, which is Great Chieftain, whose stable has hit a bit of form (8/1).
19:11 Maiden for 3yo+, 10f, £12,000
There is plenty of interest in this race given that Amo Racing’s £4.4million-purchase Partying (11/8) makes her debut. She is by Frankel out of a Group 2 and 3-winner. It’s a race that lacks depth so Waterford Castle (1/2), who is rated 88 after finishing second in five of his last seven races, is the only other runner that can be considered as the likely winner.
Selection: Whichever the market favours of the two shortlisted above.
19:41 Susan Proctor Memorial Handicap, 3yo+, 0-95, 10f, £18,4oo, the card’s most-valuable contest
This is a nice little race. Box To Box would be competitive based on his last two runs last year but he’s been off the track for 11 months now. King’s Code has won 15 races, but his two runs here are not among them.
City Of Poets has won four of his last ten races, including over 8f at Redcar off 91 two runs back. He’s now rated 92 but has yet to try tonight’s trip. Parlando arrives on the back of a 10.5f win at Chester off 83 and is now rated 86 but a 3lb-claimer is on board. He’ll be looking for a seventh win and can’t be ruled out.
A Major Payne has won two of his last three races. He’s been raised 6lbs for the latest of them, which came over c/d, but he won readily. Lightly raced, Law Court is proving consistent and can be forgiven an unplaced run in a competitive handicap at Goodwood last time.
Bold Impact came good over c/d last time from a rating of 73. He’s gone up 5lbs in the ratings for that but should have more to come. Topweight Auld Toon Loon will race in first-time cheek-pieces. He won over c/d from today’s rating a year so it’s easy to build a case for a good run from him.
Selection – As mentioned, this is a nice little race. A Major Payne can give you a run for your money (11/4).
20:11 1m1f99y handicap, 3yo rated 56-75
Arvalli has won three of his last four races and arrives in good heart. Running under a penalty for his latest win, he is one pound well-in based on future ratings and should go well. Mythological Star also runs under a penalty and is bidding for a third-straight success. He’s had only five runs, Billy Loughnane has been booked to ride, and he will be trying tonight’s trip for the first time.
Impossible Mission won narrowly here last time out over 10f. Will he be as effective over tonight’s trip? Roker Roar has shown a bit of promise in four runs and could improve for the step up to tonight’s trip. He’d been gelded since his latest run, which came after a six-month break so could have been needed.
