12:31 1m Qatar Prix Marcel Boussac – Criterium des Pouliches (Group 1) (2yo Fillies)
A big day for Joseph O’Brien could get off to a flyer with GREEN EMPRESS who in four starts has finished second on three occasions and a Group 2 victory in the Alpha Centauri Debutante Stakes on the 22nd August. She was second to Sun Goddess in each of the three other races at the Curragh and that looks standout form for that filly here. Christophe Soumillon will be aboard, and he will be looking for back-to-back victories in the race having guided Diamond Necklace to success last year.

13:09 7f Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (Group 1) (2yo No Geldings)
Christopher Head and Pierre Charles Boudot team up with the unbeaten AVEC TOI and if can take another step forward from the Group 3 victory last time he could go close. He won the Qatar Prix la Rochette last time seeing off Imperial Strike by a short head and while he was a short priced favourite he had to battle all the way to the winning line. He picked up well when he was asked from a furlong down and stuck to his task.
There is sure to be plenty of pace on here and while he has been forward in his four starts to date, jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot could slot in and look to use the horses turn of foot late on.

13:47 5f Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp Longines (Group 1) (2yo+)
The form from the BAR 1 Betting Flying Five at the Curragh will be tested here with RUMSTAR who finished third to Comanche Brave. He was a shade unlucky close home when switched right over a furlong down to go third in the final strides. He was 16th of 17 in this race last year but the ground may not have been in his favour. The better ground looks sure to suit this time and arrives here in much better form.

15:05 1m4f Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Group 1) (3yo+ No Geldings)
The feature on the day at ParisLongchamp is the Arc which is Europe’s richest flat race has attracted a stellar entry once again. The Epsom Oaks winner THUNDERING ON has a nice draw in stall 3 and showed herself back to top form at the Curragh last time out. The draw will be in her favour as the winner last year was drawn in stall two and the previous years winner came from stall three. The way she picked off the field at the Curragh last time was visually impressive and the sectional times backed that up.
Her final three sectionals of 11.49sec, 11.18sec and 12.40 sec (aggregate of 35.07sec) swept her from eighth to the head of affairs. Only one other horse in a useful field dipped under 36sec for those final three furlongs, and she seemed to be doing it all in second gear. She will be looking for the charmed run on the inside but her turn of foot could be crucial late on.

15:50 1m2f Prix de l’Opera Longines (Group 1) (3yo+ Fillies & Mares)
A good day for Pierre-Charles Boudot could get better here with PINK PANTHERA trained by Patrice Cottier. This filly has been unlucky in her last three starts finishing second on all three occasions. She was second to Diamond Necklace in the Prix de Diane Longines (Group 1) before a second to Behrayna in the Prix de Malleret (Group 2) and then she followed it up with a second in the Qatar Prix Vermeille (Group 1) last time. The RPR of 116 was impressive last time and if she can come back to that form she could finally get her day in the sun.

16:25 7f Qatar Prix de la Foret (Group 1) (3yo+)
Mickael Barzalona and Francis Henri-Graffard team up with SAMANGAN who won the Prix Maurice de Gheest was last time out. He was sixth in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot and then followed that with a fourth-place finish to Thesecretadversary in the Prix Jean Prat at Deauville. The one slight question mark will be that he has never run at Longchamp with the victories coming at either Deauville or Chantilly but if he can see that stat off then he is one of the most interesting runners on the card.
