13:45 2m½f (2m130y) Tote Always SP Or Better At Galway Maiden Hurdle (4yo+)

Mark Walsh and Emmet Mullins will team up with YOUNG REBEL who will be having his second start over hurdles here. He came from off the pace to land the BAR 1 Casino (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race for former trainer Mags Mullins and Anna McGuinness. That was a very impressive performance having been in eighth place two furlongs out and staying on strongly to get up in the dying strides. The runner up Moonverrin would boost the form at the DRF when landing a Grade 2 bumper.

Young Rebel drifted in the market ahead of stable and hurdle debut and lack fluency and looked like he would improve for the run.

Selection: Young Rebel

14:20 2m½f (2m130y) SIS Supporting Irish Racing Handicap Hurdle (3yo+)

On his last start INTHENICKOFTIME came home in front at Galway and finished in front of subsequent winner Mart Lane. Mart Lane went up to a mark of 108 and would win by four and a half lengths and that looks like a solid form boost. Inthenickoftime had his handicap mark increased from 103 to 110 following that win last time but Peter Smithers will take a valuable five pounds off his back. There should be more to come from the son of Gleneagles here.

Selection: Inthenickoftime

14:55 2m6½f (2m6f60y) Guinness Mares Handicap Hurdle (4yo+)

Sam Curling has his team in solid form with three winners from his last eleven runners. One of those winners of late was FIRE CORAL and this mare will be looking to follow up off an eight-pound higher mark. While not fluent at her hurdles she was a convincing winner off a mark of 90 by 3 ½ lengths and more improvement could be on the way. She has been consistent through August and September and if she can step up again, she should be tough to beat.

Selection: Fire Coral

15:30 2m2f (2m2f54y) Beginners Chase (4yo+)

A very interesting beginner chase for this time of year with Captain Ryan Matt, Chart Topper, Kainsbourg and Road To Home all declared. CHART TOPPER is the one who catches the eye though with Danny Mullins in the saddle. He was pulled up at Cheltenham when only (17/2) for the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle in 2025 and then down the field at Cheltenham in a competitive handicap in 2026. He improved on that massively at the Aintree Grand National meeting to run third behind Wade Out in a competitive handicap hurdle and this two-time hurdle winner looks like a smart recruit to the chasing division.

Selection: Chart Topper

16:05 2m2f (2m2f54y) Ryans Cleaning Handicap Chase (4yo+ 0-100)

Darragh O’Keeffe and Eamon Gallagher team up with ONEFORTHEDITCH and in a tricky looking race this runner could be nicely handicapped. She gets in here off a mark of 90 over fences but is a three-time winner over hurdles off 86,92 and 98. She ran over hurdles off 109 at the Punchestown Festival but finished down the field and Darragh was aboard for the two seconds from the last three starts. If she can show some form off a break of 161 days, then she could be involved in the finish.

Selection: Onefortheditch

16:40 2m6½f (2m6f111y) Mongey Communications Handicap Chase (4yo+)

Thomas Mullins and Sean Cleary Farrell teamed up with MOUNT SHENSHAN for a recent victory and this mare could follow up here. She travelled well at Clonmel and stayed on strongly to see off Demanding Gerry by 3 ¾ lengths and a reproduction of that form should be more than enough. While she is a thirteen-race maiden in over the larger obstacles she arrives here in form and that is more than you can say about many of the rivals here.

Selection: Mount Shenshan

17:15 2m½f (2m130y) Race In Pink On October 25th INH Flat Race (4yo)

The JP McManus colours will be looking to top and tail the card here with WAY WITH WORDS who is back on track after a 218-day break. He didn’t manage to close down Adaboy Bushy in the closing stages last time, but it was a run full of promise. The market spoke in his favour too and it will be interesting to see if the backers return. The booking of Derek O’ Connor catches the eye and if he can improve then you would expect him to go very close here.

Selection: Way With Words
