BAR 1 Betting is bringing the excitement of the Cheltenham Festival to the Rebel County with a series of live Cheltenham Festival Preview events taking place across County Cork in the lead-up to the 2026 Festival.
As the home of racing legends such as Paul Townend, Davy Russell, Ted Walsh, and the late, great Michael O’Sullivan, Cork is widely regarded as a hotbed for National Hunt racing. With anticipation building ahead of jump racing’s biggest week, running from Tuesday 10 to Friday 13 March 2026, BAR 1 Betting is set to ramp up the excitement with a unique in-store preview tour.
Popular racing tipster and professional punter Johnny Dineen will headline the events, joined by Cork sporting royalty Jimmy Barry Murphy and respected local journalist Joe Seward for three live, in-shop Cheltenham previews on Saturday, March 7th.
The preview roadshow will stop at:
- BAR 1 Betting Glanmire – 11:00am
- BAR 1 Betting Gurranabraher – 12:30pm
- BAR 1 Betting Blackpool – 2:00pm
The events will coincide with the official opening of BAR 1 Betting’s brand-new Blackpool store, marking another milestone in the company’s continued expansion.
Attendees can expect the latest Cheltenham news, expert insights, and early Festival fancies, with plenty of added incentives on the day. Free bet giveaways, exclusive in-store offers, and special goodies will be available for customers who come along and soak up the pre-Festival atmosphere.
