Quarter-Final Match Betting and Predictions:

Thursday March 7th

(7:15pm) 11/20 Luke Humphries v Gerwyn Price 6/5 (PredictionLuke Humphries, Luke Humphries ended the winning streak of MVG in last week’s quarter-finals before losing a last-leg decider to eventual winner Nathan Aspinall in the semi-finals. Gerwyn Price was beaten comprehensively 6-1 by Rob Cross in his opening quarter-final match in Exeter last week and was knocked out of the UK Open over the weekend by Martin Schindler in the last 64, signalling that all is not well with his current form. So it’s a win for the OK Open runner-up Luke Humphries for me in this one.) Correct Score Prediction – 6-4

(8pm) 13/10 Rob Cross v Michael van Gerwen 6/10 (PredictionMichael van Gerwen, Rob Cross enjoyed wins over Gerwyn Price and Luke Littler before losing to Nathan Aspinal in week 5 last week in Exeter. Michael van Gerwen lost his unbeaten run in the quarter-finals last week, losing 6-3 to World No.1 Luke Humphries. Rob Cross would be the form choice coming into this match, but I expect MVG to get back to winning ways.) Correct Score Prediction – 3-6

(8:45pm) 7/5 Nathan Aspinall v Luke Littler 1/2 (PredictionLuke Littler, Nathan Aspinall got his first overall nightly win in Exeter on Thursday last, enjoying wins over Peter Wright, Luke Humphries and Rob Cross en route to victory. Luke Littler had an impressive win over Michael Smith before surprisingly losing out to Rob Cross in the semi-finals. It took a monumental performance from Damon Heta to beat Luke Littler in the quarter-finals of the UK Open last weekend in Minehead and he is strongly fancied to get the better of last week’s winner Nathan Aspinall.) Correct Score Prediction – 3-6

(9:30pm) 1/2 Michael Smith v Peter Wright 6/4 (PredictionMichael Smith, Michael Smith did not play all that badly despite his defeat to Luke Littler in Exeter, although he was narrowly beaten 10-9 by Luke Woodhouse at the last 32 stage of the recent UK Open. Peter Wright continued his improved recent for in Exeter despite losing his opening match to eventual winner Nathan Aspinall and backed that up by reaching the last 16 stage of the UK Open, losing in a thrilling last leg decider to Stephen Bunting. In a close contest, I’m going for a Michael Smith win in this match.) Correct Score Prediction – 6-4

Outright Betting:

Michael van Gerwen 9/4 – Luke Littler 3/1 – Luke Humphries 33/10 – Gerwyn Price 15/2 – Michael Smith 10/1 – Rob Cross 10/1 – Nathan Aspinall 12/1, Peter Wright 66/1.
