12:10 2m Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase (4yo+)

MISS FOURIE looked to have momentum on her side approaching the final fence at Roscommon last time out, only to make a bad mistake, which handed the race to A Snow White Park. I think, with an error-free round, the Gordon Elliott-trained mare can take the beating.

I could see the biggest threat coming from Mo Ghille Mar. She’s been a great mare for connections with victories both on the flat and over hurdles. She’s a fine big mare who is capable of a bold show. Sixandahalf is not the force of old, and on what we have seen so far over fences, I think Miss Fourie will have too much for the opposition.

Selection: Miss Fourie

12:45 2m4f Gerry Comerford Drilling Beginners Chase (4yo+)

BUILD A BRIDGE arrives here in good form on the back of a handicap hurdle victory over 2m at Punchestown on October 13th, and a gallant second-placed effort over hurdles at Limerick four days later.

The trainer-jockey combination of Rory Devine and Danny Mullins has enjoyed success in recent weeks, and if taking to the larger obstacles, Build A Bridge can make a winning chasing debut

Selection: Build A Bridge

13:20 2m Noreside Catering Handicap Chase (4yo+)

BREAK MY SOUL took the mares’ beginners’ chase on this card last year, and a chance is taken that the Ian Donoghue-trained mare can take the beating here. She was last seen finishing second behind Sainte Lucie home in a Listed Hurdle at Killarney in May.

A rejuvenated Golden Joy would be dangerous to dismiss if he can rediscover the form that saw him finish second behind Jacob’s Ladder in a Listed Chase at the DRF back in February. He is having his first start under rules for trainer Cian Collins. However, he is difficult to recommend from a betting perspective, having stopped quickly to finish last of five finishers recently in a point-to-point.

Selection: Break My Soul

13:50 2m (2m20y) PRL Group Maiden Hurdle (4yo)

I think BAILA CONMIGO has shown enough in four starts over hurdles to think he is capable of winning a maiden hurdle. It was a good run to finish third, behind Lygon Lad at Downpatrick in September; the second home, Little Ginger, has won since.

It was another solid effort to finish third, 9l behind the winner Direct Approach at Galway last time out. Trainer Ciaran Murphy has enjoyed a terrific year, and I think jockey Eoghan Finegan could enjoy a good season.

Selection: Baila Conmigo

14:20 2m (2m20y) Proficient Engineering Irish EBF Maiden Hurdle (4yo+)

GOT THE HONOURS ran out an easy winner of a point-to-point in April on what was his final start for Pat Doyle. I think he can make a winning rules and stable debut for the Gavin Cromwell team, in what doesn’t look the strongest maiden hurdle.

Selection: Got The Honours

14:55 2m (2m20y) GAIN Equine Nutrition Novice Handicap Hurdle (3yo+)

I was quite taken by FACILE OCEAN‘s success at Downpatrick last time, where he made all to beat Papagei, who reopposes, and Lygon Lad comfortably at the end of the 2m 1f trip. I liked his attitude, and I thought he gave the impression that he wasn’t fully extended at the finish. He can be highly strung, but jockey Eoghan Finegan knows him well, and I thought all concerned handled him beautifully in the preliminaries at Downpatrick prior to that last time-out success.

Selection: Facile Ocean

15:30 2m4f (2m3f180y) Pat Carroll’s Pub Kilkenny Mares Handicap Hurdle (Div I) (3yo+ 0-100)

DEMANDING GERRY arrives here on the back of a number of decent runs, including a gallant second-placed effort in a similar event at Clonmel last time out. When you look through her form, it’s difficult to believe that the selection is still a maiden after seventeen runs over hurdles. Demanding Gerry has finished second on five occasions, and I think she can get a deserved, overdue success here.

Selection: Demanding Gerry

16:00 2m4f (2m3f180y) Pat Carroll’s Pub Kilkenny Mares Handicap Hurdle (Div II) (3yo+ 0-100)

KAYLA’S FRIEND turns out quickly, having finished second behind My Good Pal at Fairyhouse on Tuesday. Formerly trained by Olly Murphy, Kayla’s Friend was having her second start for James Hannon, and I think, if none the worse for those exertions on Tuesday, Kayla’s Friend can go one better under jockey Sean Flanagan.

Selection: Kayla’s Friend
