12:50 2m3½f (2m3f114y) Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle (4yo+)
YOUNG DORAN has shown enough in three starts over hurdles to think that he is up to winning this. He arguably hasn’t built on his second-placed effort at Ballinrobe earlier in the year. However, he is a fine big horse who may not have been entirely suited to the undulations and turns of Downpatrick, but despite this, I thought he ran with credit on both starts there, the most recent of which was finishing a little over 10 lengths behind Little Ginger over 2m 6f, where he held every chance jumping the second last. I think the drop in trip here will suit and Young Doran will take the beating.
Selection: Young Doran
13:25 2m½f (2m157y) Connolly’s RED MILLS Irish EBF Auction & Median Maiden Hurdle (4-5yo)
If no worse for his exertions on Saturday, this could go the way of the Anthony McCann-trained S T HAMO. Although no match for the odds-on favourite, Skerry Hill, I thought it was a pleasing hurdling debut to finish a staying-on third. S T Hamo made steady progress in the last half-mile of the race, jumped well and held a comfortable gap back to the fourth. If he can build on that performance, he should go close.
Selection: S T Hamo
14:00 3m Clonmel Oil Service Station Handicap Hurdle (4yo+)
ZOFFMAN arrives here on the back of a number of decent placed efforts. He was caught close home by Smallcraftwarning (reopposes today), over 3m at Gowran Park on his last start over hurdles at the beginning of October. He finished a close third on the all-weather over 1m 4f at Dundalk last Friday. I think the consistent Zoffman can reverse that form with Smallcraftwarning and take the beating here.
Selection: Zoffman
14:35 2m5f (2m4f171y) T.A. Morris Memorial Irish EBF Mares Chase (Listed Race) (4yo+)
Willie Mullins took this last year with odds-on favourite Spindleberry, and I think DINOBLUE will repeat the feat on this stepping stone to bigger things later in the season. Dinoblue is rated far superior to any of her rivals and, barring disaster, will win.
Selection: Dinoblue

15:10 2m5f (2m4f171y) Clonmel Oil Chase (Grade 2) (4yo+)
Last year’s winner, Il ETAIT TEMPS, is impossible to oppose on his seasonal reappearance. Kappa Jy Pyke is priced accordingly to follow the favourite home.
Selection: Il Etait Temps
15:45 2m½f (2m88y) Prior Park Service Station Clonmel Handicap Chase (4yo+ 0-100)
With the benefit of a recent run, this can go the way of last year’s second, ONEFORTHEDITCH, who ran well for a long way before tiring to finish fifth behind Springboard over 2m 2f at Galway 30 days ago.
She’s likely to go forward and should give another bold showing under jockey Alan O’Sullivan.
Selection: Onefortheditch
16:20 2m½f (2m157y) racingtv.com/freetrial INH Flat Race (4yo+)
The pace could be potentially quite generous in the final race of the day, which might set it up for those coming from off the pace. RED SEAGULL shaped with promise when finishing sixth behind Delamotte at the Punchestown Festival when last seen. In calmer waters here, I think Red Seagull will give you a good run for your money in the hands of Finny Maguire.
Selection: Red Seagull
