17:10 7f Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (Grade 1) (Dirt) (3yo+)
The first on Saturday evening is a very competitive puzzle to try and solve, and SWEET AZTECA, in the hands of Juan Hernandez for trainer Richard Baltas, could go close to remaining unbeaten for this current yard. She has nine wins from eleven starts but is four for four for her current stable. The manner of her victory at Del Mar last time was impressive when she landed the Rancho Bernardo Stakes (Grade 3). She was eased close to home to win by 4 ¾ lengths, and if she can step up on that performance, she should go close with luck in running.
Selection: Sweet Azteca
17:48 5½f (5f110y) Prevagem Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (Grade 1) (Turf) (3yo+)
It could be a quick double on the evening for jockey Juan Hernandez as he takes the mount aboard BACIO for trainer Wesley Ward. This runner has five wins from six starts, four on the turf and one on the dirt. His last two victories came in the UK when he won at Royal Ascot and then followed up at York in the Nunthorpe last time out. He has got the perfect draw in stall three for a runner who likes to go forward, and trainer Wesley Ward will be looking to land this for a second time since Golden Pal won in 2021.
Selection: Bacio
18:26 1m Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (Grade 1) (Dirt) (3yo+)
Course form can be key, and FURTHER ADO for trainer Brad Cox and jockey Flavian Prat was an eleven-length winner on his fourth start at this venue, and he has followed up since at Churchill Downs. He was last seen in the Pennsylvania Derby (Grade 1) at Parx when finishing second to The Puma, and a repeat of that form should be more than enough here. Brad Cox has won this race before, back in 2020 with Go Knicks, and jockey Flavian Prat has won it twice since 2016 with Battle Of Midway (2017) and Nysos (2025).
Selection: Further Ado
19:04 1m1½f (1m1f110y) Makers Mark Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (Grade 1) (Turf) (3yo+)
A chance is taken here with the Brendan Walsh-trained LUSH LIPS, who will have regular jockey of late Tyler Gaffalione in the saddle. This filly was formerly trained by Donnacha O’Brien, but since she has made her way to the USA, her form has really turned a corner. She has had eleven starts for this stable and has won six of them and finished second on the other five occasions. She finished second to Classic Q in the First Lady Stakes at this venue last time, and they will re-oppose once again. The draw in thirteen may be a slight issue for this filly, but she likes to be dropped in, and if the pace is strong, you could see her staying on late to get involved.
Selection: Lush Lips

19:42 6f Cygames Breeders’ Cup Sprint (Grade 1) (Dirt) (3yo+)
Japan have a very interesting runner here with T O ELVIS, who could leave his rivals all shook up should he get the run of the race from gate eleven. Ryusei Sakai will be in the saddle for trainer Daisuke Takayanagi, and this runner was a winner at Churchill Downs last time out when he was a little slow away from the stalls, adopted a handy position and galloped out strongly to the winning line. He has really found his form of late, and if this colt can get the run of things, you would expect him to be involved once again.
Selection: T O Elvis
20:20 1m FanDuel Breeders’ Cup Mile (Grade 1) (Turf) (3yo+)
While Notable Speech will be a short-priced favourite for the Charlie Appleby team, a chance is taken on the Aidan O’Brien-trained PUERTO RICO in the hands of Ryan Moore. He was beaten 4 ½ lengths by Notable Speech in the City Of York Stakes in his penultimate run but was an eyecatcher at Longchamp last time out. He raced wide in the Prix De La Foret but kept on finishing third and did well in the circumstances. With luck in running from a wide draw once again, he could have a chance of finishing in the frame once again.
Selection: Puerto Rico
20:58 1m1f Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff (Grade 1) (Fillies & Mares) (Dirt) (3yo+)
It could be a good weekend for jockey Flavian Prat, who could be in line for another winner aboard FULLY SUBSCRIBED for trainer Chad Brown. This filly was a 9 ¾ length winner at Saratoga two starts back before she followed up at Keeneland last time out. She has had eight starts and has six wins and two seconds from those eight. A nice draw in stall four for a filly that likes to be prominent, and if she can get into a rhythm early, then she could be tough to beat.
Selection: Subscribed
21:36 1m4f Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf (Grade 1) (Turf) (3yo+)
The winner of this race last year, ETHICAL DIAMOND, could be primed to win the race once again. He was drawn wide last year in fourteen but is drawn in stall one this time around. Dylan Browne McMonagle will be in the saddle like he was last year, and he will look to drop in and get a position before coming with the customary late run. He won the Ballyroan Stakes at Leopardstown back in August and had a lovely prep for this when finishing second to Tiffany in the Kentucky Turf Cup Invitational Stakes (Grade 2) last time out. He does have a little bit to find with others in the race in terms of form, but we’ve seen what he did last year in this with a storming late run, and we could see something similar on Saturday evening.
Selection: Ethical Diamond
22:16 1m2f Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (Grade 1) (Dirt) (3yo+)
The Breeders’ Cup Classic went for export last year when Forever Young came home in front for Japan, and he is back to try to retain his crown. His rivals at the top of the market include a couple of William Mott-trained colts, and KNIGHTSBRIDGE looks interesting in the hands of Luis Saez for the first time. This runner could be slightly underestimated has has only stepped up through the grades. He won the Monmouth Cup by 10 ½ lengths two starts back and then bolted up in the Pacific Classic Stakes (Grade 1) last time out. On RPRs, he has a little to find with Forever Young, but he is improving and should be involved.
Selection: Knightsbridge
