13:00 2m6½f (2m6f110y) Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle (4yo+)
A top two days at Down Royal get underway on Friday with a maiden hurdle over 2 ¾ miles, and Gordon Elliott has an exemplary record in this race. He has won this race ten times since 2012, and WITH NOLIMIT will look to make it win number eleven. This horse was last seen finishing in front of The Mourne Rambler at Punchestown in the Race & Stay At Punchestown Champion I.N.H. Flat Race (Grade 1) and finished ninth in the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival. He is the type to excel over hurdles and could be a smart sort to follow for the remainder of the season.
Selection: With Nolimit
13.30 3m (3m45y) Eventsec Handicap Hurdle (4yo+ 0-100)
It could be a quick double for the combination of Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy, as they have SNEDDY EDDIE here. This horse had a recent run on the level in the hands of Nina Doherty, and that could have been a little prep run for this. He is a three-time winner on the level and has won one hurdle from nine starts, and that came at Downpatrick off a rating of 85. He is only five pounds higher here, and there is potential for more to come for this yard. With a clear round, he could be involved in the finish.
Selection: Sneddy Eddie
14:00 2m1f (2m190y) Irish Stallion Farms EBF Feathard Lady Mares Novice Hurdle (Grade 3) (4yo+)
Henry De Bromhead and Darragh O’Keeffe team up with ASH HOBBS, who created a favourable impression when winning on her hurdle debut at Fairyhouse last time out. She had run well in a couple of bumpers and was a point-to-point winner at Ballycahane back in March 2025. She was always the type to become a much more polished performer over obstacles, and so that proved last time out. If she can step up again, she could be tough to beat here.
Selection: Ash Hobbs
14:35 2m1f (2m190y) bottlegreen Hurdle (Listed Race) (4yo+)
A race over the years that has thrown up some smart sorts: Macs Joy (2004), Volar La Vedette (2009), Jezki (2013), Zanahiyr (2021) and Brighterdaysahead (2024). This year’s renewal has the potential to be top class, and the return of MANGE TOUT after 204 days off the track really catches the eye. This filly was an impressive winner on debut at Compiegne before winning on this card last year on Irish debut. She won at the Fairyhouse Winter Festival when she landed the BAR 1 Betting Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 3). She was third at the DRF behind Narciso Has but then landed her Grade 1 when she won at Aintree on her last start. There is surely more to come as a four-year-old, and she is an exciting sort. In a recent stable tour in the Racing Post, Gordon was quoted as saying, “We were delighted with her last season; she got better as the season went on, and she was very good at Aintree on her final start. She could be a very exciting filly this season and is staying over hurdles”.
Selection: Mange Tout

15:10 2m½f (2m100y) Metcollect Handicap Chase (4yo+)
Barry Connell and Sean Flanagan team up with FARROKH, who was an impressive winner at Tramore last time out. He has gone up from a mark of 108 to 115, but there could be more to come here. This will be his thirteenth chase start, and he has won two from twelve and placed six times. He galloped all the way to the line last time, but connections were keen to point out that he is a summer horse and whether he would be able to step up in grade will be a question. He was visually impressive, and if he does improve, he should be involved.
Selection: Farrokh
15:45 2m3½f (2m3f100y) Beginners Chase (4yo+)
This race has thrown up similar smart sorts in recent years to other races on the card, but Gordon Elliott’s record in this race is second to none. Six wins in the race in the last seven years with the likes of Samcro (2019), Envoi Allen (2020), Mighty Potter (2022), Found A Fifty (2023), Firefox (2024) and Romeo Coolio (2025). He has three runners here with Ballyfad, Port Authority and Sept Etoiles, but they may have to play second fiddle to the Henry De Bromhead-trained MATIN MIDI ET SOIR. As a four-year-old, this horse will be getting weight from his rivals. He arrived at Knockeen with a big reputation after two wins from three starts for trainer Francois Nicolle. His Irish debut was in Grade 1 company and was well backed but disappointed, finishing eighth. The tongue strap is applied for the first time, and connections go straight over fences. A very interesting runner.
Selection: Matin Midi Et Soir
16:20 2m1f (2m190y) WTW Willis INH Flat Race (4-7yo)
The final race on the card is a tricky puzzle to try and solve, but a chance is taken with the Dermot Weld-trained and Finian Maguire-ridden PASSENGER. This horse was having his first start since Christmas last time out at Cork when he was a well-backed favourite but would fade out of things close to home. He has one victory from seven starts, and if the cheekpieces make the difference, then he should get involved here.
Selection: Passenger
17:30 5f Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden (2yo)
This race offers the Ger Lyons-trained SOUTHERN BOULEVARD a chance to break her maiden at the sixth time of asking. She has been second on two of five starts, but the run last time out was a standout run behind Shimmering Sun in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Legacy Stakes (Listed Race) at this venue. A repeat of that form will be more than enough here.
Selection: Southern Boulevard
18:00 5f View Restaurant At Dundalk Handicap (3yo+ 0-60)
Reese Holohan, who is chasing Sam Coen in the Apprentice Jockey Title, has an interesting mount aboard SUBAICO for trainer Jennifer Lynch. On his first start for this team, he finished third at this venue when there was a little money in the market for him at big prices. He is drawn in stall eight here, and Reese should drop in and come with a late run close to home. He stayed on well last time, and something similar could suffice here.
Selection: Subaico
18:30 6f BAR 1 Betting ‘Bet 10 Get 50’ Handicap (3yo+)
The class angle in this race would be BIG GOSSEY, but the slight negative would be that he has had twenty-two starts at this venue and just two victories. His last run at this venue was in December 2025 off a mark of 100, and he arrives here off 98. He has been campaigned in Group 1 and Group 3 company in the last couple of months, and this will be a significant drop in grade. He has been a grand servant for his connections, and this could be win number 13 from 97 starts.
Selection: Big Gossey

19:00 1m Book Online At DundalkStadium.com Maiden (3yo+)
While Joseph O’Brien may have much of his attention on Keeneland on Friday evening, he may keep a close eye on SUBTLE SHADE, who makes her debut in the hands of Joey Sheridan. She is a half-sister to winners Northern Express and Charming Princess, and her dam was also a Group-placed performer. The market will tell us plenty about what is expected, but she could be above average.
Selection: Subtle Shade
19:30 1m Happy Halloween Handicap (3yo+)
ART GALLERY will be having its first start for the Johnny Murtagh team since leaving the yard of James Ferguson in the UK. Two victories from five starts show that the ability is there and the Murtagh team might have a little bit to play with off a mark of 79. She was a winner at Kempton off a mark of 75 on the 30th of March when the rider dropped the rein and won a bit cosy in the end. There could be more to come here, and Rory Mulligan will take a valuable five pounds off her back.
Selection: Art Gallery
20:00 1m Irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap (3yo+ 0-60)
The penultimate race on the card at the Co.Louth venue, James Ryan will team up with trainer Daniel Murphy with GO OUT, who finished second at this venue two weeks ago. He was just touched off in a driving finish behind Sedro Woolley, with Una Matata back in third. While he comes here as an 18-race maiden, he has been placed six times in those 18 starts. Four of those placings have come at this venue, so similar form to the run last time out should be enough to see him in the equation once again.
Selection: Go Out
20:30 1m4f Book Your Christmas Party At Dundalk Stadium Handicap (3yo+)
Noel Meade and Paddy Harnett team up with ZOFFMAN, and at the time of writing, the Tu Va team hadn’t reached the magic 3000 winners yet. This runner has run over hurdles and on the level of late and is in here off a mark of 75. Paddy will claim three off his back, and that should be enough to see him go close. This will be his first run on the surface, but he has a liking for good ground on the grass and over obstacles on the turf.
Selection: Zoffman
