13:35 2m1f (2m1f24y) Crottys Lake Maiden Hurdle (4yo+)

Willie Mullins and Paul Townend team up with WORLD AS ONE, who is looking to make amends for last time after being brought down at the first at Downpatrick. The form over hurdles was consistent prior to that, with a fifth at Roscommon behind Like An Ocean, third to No Mon No Fun at Ballinrobe and a second behind Simple Things at Tramore, beaten a neck. A repeat of any of those runs will make the Closutton runner tough to beat.

Selection: World As One

14:10 2m1f (2m1f24y) Kilclooney Woods (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle (3yo+ 0-100)

A chance is taken with the bottom-weight VOLEZ VOUS for Phidelma Elvin and  Philip Rothwell. This runner hasn’t been with this yard long and showed improved form last time when seventh at Clonmel. The market spoke in its favour then, backing it from double figures to 13/2 joint favourite on the off. A two-time course winner off marks of 72 and 79, and gets in here off a mark of 76, and Phidelma will take seven pounds off its back. The market will likely tell us plenty as to what is expected.

Selection: Volez Vous

14:46 2m4f (2m4f23y) Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle (4yo+)

RED ACRES GEORGIE has shown some improvement of late and finished second to Ash Hobbs last time out at Fairyhouse. Tony Mullins was on a recent podcast with Matt Chapman and said that this filly will win on her next start and hopefully then campaign her for the Mares Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham. If Tony is to be proved right, then she will have to win and be impressive here, but her form has improved, and Danny will be in the saddle.

Selection: Red Acres Georgie

15:21 2m4f (2m4f23y) Mahon Falls Novice Handicap Hurdle (3yo+)

Paul Flynn has his team in good form, and his representative here is SOLDIER SAINT, with Ben Kennedy taking seven pounds off his back. The application of blinkers for the first time could also spark some life into him. When he ran at Downpatrick two starts back, he travelled very sweetly throughout but flattened out in the closing stages. He took a while to get going at Punchestown last time, and while he looked like he would get into it, he flattened out again and was one-paced to finish sixth. He will have a featherweight on his back and could be one to watch in the market.

Selection: Soldier Saint

15:56 2m2½f (2m2f146y) Suir Blueway Mares Chase (4yo+)

It could be a double on the card for team Closutton as LA NOTE VERTE will look to land a hat-trick. She was impressive at Tramore and then followed that up with victory at Listowel last time out. There are question marks over others in the field, and while she will likely start a short price, she should take all the beating with a clear round.

Selection: La Note Verte

16:30 2m5f (2m4f219y) Challenge Series Handicap Chase (4yo+)

A tricky puzzle to try and solve in the penultimate race on the card, but the booking of Jack Kennedy aboard the Noel Meade-trained CHARLIE LUCIANO catches the eye. Jack has only had eighteen mounts for the Castletown, Co.Meath trainer but has two winners, five seconds, three thirds and a fourth from those mounts. Charlie Luciano ran a solid race when third to Pourqoi Poi last time out and will run off the same mark here. He drops back from 3m ½ f to 2m 5f and was outpaced towards the last fence last time, so this should suit.

Selection: Charlie Luciano

17:05 2m5f (2m4f219y) Clonmel Oil Chase Day November 5th Handicap Chase (4yo+ 0-100)

The final race on the card, and the Sam Curling team have a chance of a winner with WING BACK, who will have Aidan Kelly aboard for the first time. This runner was all the rage in the market at Sligo last time out and went off at 11/8f. The run ended up being too bad to be true and was pulled up in the end. The cheekpieces go on for the first time, and he is six pounds higher than when successful over hurdles in August 2025. It will be interesting to see if the backers return.

Selection: Wing Back
