It’s day 6 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with four more matches to enjoy. Here’s a 3.37 ACCA to follow.
- Both teams to score in France vs Senegal
- Norway to beat Iraq
- Argentina to beat Algeria
- Austria to beat Jordan
- ODDS: 3.37/1

France vs Senegal, 20:00, RTE 2/BBC One
One of the standout group-stage fixtures of the FIFA World Cup sees 2018 champions France take on one of the tournament’s potential dark horses, Senegal, at MetLife Stadium.

With exciting talents such as Michael Olise and Désiré Doué complementing established stars Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé, France are once again among the favourites to go all the way
Senegal booked their place at a third consecutive World Cup after progressing through qualification unbeaten (W7, D3), matching France’s achievement.
Senegal have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their 11 World Cup finals matches since and won neither of their pre-tournament warm-up games against fellow World Cup participants USA (L 3-2) and Saudi Arabia (0-0).
However, they can take encouragement from the fact that France have lost three of their last four World Cup group-stage matches against African opposition.
France’s last nine World Cup matches have all produced over 2.5 goals, while five of Senegal’s last seven World Cup fixtures have also cleared that line.
That trend makes goals look a strong starting point from a betting perspective.
BEST BET: Both Teams To Score (10/11)

Iraq v Norway, 23:00, RTE 2/BBC One
With Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard in their ranks, Norway have been tipped as one of the top dark horses at this tournament. With France and Senegal also in this group, getting off to a convincing start against Iraq will be key if Norway are to match those lofty expectations.
Iraq have qualified for the first time in 40 years, and having lost all three games they played at Mexico in ’86, they could hardly have asked for a tougher group. A two-legged play-off victory against the UAE saw Iray seal their return to the big stage, but they must now face a Norway team that breezed through qualifying, winning eight of their 10 matches.
In fact, Norway have lost just one of their last 16 matches and should face no issues in their Group I opener.
BEST BET: Norway to win to nil (5/6)

Argentina vs Algeria, 02:00, RTE 2/ITV1
The champions begin the defence of their crown at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas. Much of the buildup to the tournament has centered on the fitness of Lionel Messi, but the Inter Miami star reassured the Argentine public by coming off the bench to score in the final warm-up game, a 3-0 victory over Iceland.
Whether the Barcelona legend will be fit enough to start against Algeria remains to be seen, but the 2022 winners should have more than enough in reserve to get off to a winning start.
Lionel Scaloni’s men booked their place at a 14th consecutive World Cup finals after topping the CONMEBOL qualifying standings and arrive at the tournament in formidable form, having won 13 of their last 15 matches (D1, L1). Their qualification streak is the third-longest active run among all nations.
The only previous meeting between these nations came in a friendly in June 2007, when Argentina edged a thrilling 4-3 victory. It was a memorable occasion for Lionel Messi, who scored his first-ever international brace for La Albiceleste.
Argentina have won each of their last six World Cup games against African opposition. Algeria have kept only one clean sheet in their 13 games at the World Cup.
Having won their last three matches by at least a two goal margin, backing a comfortable Argentina win makes sense.
BEST BET: Argentina -1 (23/20)

Austria vs Jordan, 05:00, RTE 2/BBC One
Jordan are one of four teams making their debut at this World Cup but they face a tough opening fixture against Austria in San Francisco.
Austria are returning to the world stage for the first time since 1998, but they reached the knockout stages at the last Euro’s and also breezed through qualifying, winning six of their eight games to get here.
Wins against Ghana, South Korea, and Tunisia in warm ups have further boosted confidence with Ralf Rangnick’s team earning clean sheets in their two most recent games.
Jordan suffered warmup defeats against Columbia and Switzerland and are now winless in five.
Opta gives the European’s a 70% chance of success in this group game. With that in mind, this does have the look of being a potentially one-sided affair.
BEST BET: Austria -1 (21/20)
