17:00 5f BAR 1 Betting “Download Our App” Handicap (3yo+ 0-60)

Adrian McGuinness and Sam Coen team up with BLUE ANTHEM who is having its first start for a new yard here. A three-time winner in the UK for George Boughey he finished second at Laytown for the Ger O’Leary yard last time out. The three victories in the UK were off much higher marks than it will race off here, 65, 67 and 70 and it gets in here off a mark of 56. There was money around for it at Laytown and it will be interesting to see if the backers return.

Selection: Blue Anthem

17:30 5f BAR 1 Casino “Slot Games & Live Casino” Race (3yo+)

Course form can sometimes be key over five furlongs and ECLAIRAGE for the Daniel Murphy team is a four-time course and distance winner. She showed blistering early pace from the stalls when going down to a half-length defeat at this venue on the 12th of July. She is much better off at the weights here and is drawn nicely in stall 6 to attack. Terry Casey will claim a very valuable seven pounds off her back and that should see her in contention.

Selection: Eclairage

18:00 5f Irish Stallion Farms EBF Legacy Stakes (Listed Race) (2yo)

The first of two features on the evening and an interesting representative from across the water is the Harry Eustace trained SHIMMERING SUN. This filly was a winner on debut before finishing seventh in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot. She came over to Irish shores to run at Naas in the Marwell Stakes and a ran a cracker to finish second to Big Negotiator who will reoppose.

She was 14th in the Lowther at York but then back to her best when second on the AW behind Moonrise at Kempton last time out in the Sirenia Stakes (Group 3). Ben Coen booked and drawn nicely in stall eight should see her get involved with luck in running.

Selection: Shimmering Sun

18:30 1m Irish EBF Fillies Maiden (Smullen Series) (2yo)

Seven runners go to post for the maiden and only two of them have experience, GOLDEN RING and Lady Chancealot. Golden Ring was seventh on debut behind Livenka which was a solid run but stepped up massively on that when third to Alpine Wedding and Haven at Cork on the 9th of September. The winner Alpine Wedding franked the form by running second to Curracloe in the Darley Fillies Stakes (Group 3) at the Curragh on Sunday last. The runner up Haven also franked the form by winning at Dundalk last Friday night. There should be more to come from Golden Ring here.

Selection: Golden Ring

19:00 7f Michael And Esther Cooney Memorial Nursery Handicap (2yo)

SNAPEQUUS could be one to follow in the market ahead of nursery debut for Joey Sheridan and Joseph O’Brien. On pedigree he is a brother to 1m AW winner Snapaurum and the dam Snapraeceps is a half-sister to Snapraeterea who was a five-time winner. While the selections form leaves a lot to be desired the AW could suit much better and it will be interesting to see how the market goes.

Selection: Snapequus

19:30 7f Irish Stallion Farms EBF Star Appeal Stakes (Listed Race) (2yo)

The second feature race on the evening is the Star Appeal stakes and while the first of them could go for export this race looks like its staying at home. DEE’S FUNNY GIRL started favourite at Deauville for the Prix du Calvados last time but disappointed and finished last of the six runners in the hands of Ryan Moore. Her last run for Michael Keady was sixth to Libertango in the Albany and then her first start for Donnacha O’Brien was a run full of promise behind Moonrise who has collateral form with Shimmering Sun earlier on the card.

The booking of Oisin Orr catches the eye and while the trip may be a slight question mark, she ran on well at Ascot on penultimate start.

Selection: Dee’s Funny Girl

20:00 7f BAR 1 Betting “Best Odds Guaranteed Overnight” Maiden (3yo+)

The master of Rosewell House Dermot Weld will team up with Billy Lee here in the colours of the late Aga Khan with EMIZA. This filly has run three times and the middle run at this venue was undoubtably the best of the three. She recorded an RPR of 80 with the tongue strap on first time to finish second to Trek Home and a repeat of that will make her one of the main contenders here. She disappointed at Navan last time but that was over a mile and a return to seven furlongs here will surely suit.

Selection: Emiza

20:30 7f Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap (3yo+)

BEAR ON THE RUN was well fancied at Newmarket on the 24th of September when going off the 5/2 favourite but slightly disappointed to finish sixth of the ten runners. She broke her maiden here on the 15th of August 2025 when showing some sharp gate speed to win easily by three and a quarter lengths. She was given a more patient ride by Dylan Browne McMonagle at the Curragh on the 22nd of August and weaved through horses to lead close home.

She is drawn to attack here in stall three and you may see her go to the front early and try and go gate to wire.

Selection: Bear On The Run
