Croatia v England, Sat, 19:45

These two sides served up a thriller in the group stages of the recent World Cup, and with Spain threatening to run away with this Nations League group, both teams need three points.

Croatia have endured a mixed start under Slaven Bilić, beating the Czech Republic 2-1 before suffering a heavy 4-1 defeat to Spain. They’ll be looking to respond on home soil, where they have lost just once in their last nine competitive matches, although a 2-0 friendly defeat to Belgium last time out in Rijeka serves as a warning.

England bounced back from their 3-2 loss to Spain by beating ten-man Czech Republic 2-0 on Tuesday. The clean sheet will boost Thomas Tuchel’s side as they look to keep pace with Spain at the top of Group A3, while an impressive eight-game competitive away winning streak suggests they’ll arrive with confidence.

However, England have won just once across their last six League A away games, meaning Croatia could provide a much tougher test.

England’s 4-2 win over Croatia in the 2026 World Cup group stage was their third consecutive H2H victory, and with this game behind closed doors, England may shade another entertaining encounter. Six of England’s last seven matches saw both teams score and over 2.5 goals.

BEST BET: England win & BTTS (9/4)

We paid out on Ireland as match winners v Austria despite the game ending 2-2 on Thursday.

Spain v Czechia, Sat, 19:45

The Czechs look totally out of their depth in League A, and matters are only going to get tougher with a trip to the World Champions. Wins against England and Croatia have extended Spain’s unbeaten run over 90 minutes to a staggering 40 matches, while they are unbeaten in regulation time in this competition since September 2022.

By contrast, the visitors are now winless inside 90 minutes in seven competitive games in 2026. Equally worrying is the fact that the Czech Republic have conceded 2+ goals in four of their last five internationals.

BEST BET: Spain to win to nil (8/15)

North Macedonia v Scotland, Sat, 19:45

The bottom two teams in League B1 meet in Skopje on Saturday as North Macedonia host Scotland.

Sébastien Pocognoli has become the first Scotland manager since George Burley in 2008 to go winless across his opening two games, with his first defeat coming in emphatic fashion as Switzerland put three past his ten-man side.

The Tartan Army failed to muster a single shot on target for the first time in a Nations League fixture, highlighting their attacking struggles. Scotland have now failed to score in each of their last four matches.

North Macedonia are ranked 27 places below Scotland in the FIFA rankings, but their home form is strong, with just one loss on home soil since June 2023, which came against Switzerland, who thrashed Scotland midweek. Five of North Macedonia’s last six home wins were accompanied by a clean sheet.

Scotland have never lost in four previous meetings with Saturday’s opponents and are around 1/6 for victory in this latest fixture, so while the Tartan Army will expect all three points here, they are likely to be made to work for it.

BEST BET: Under 2.5 goals (4/6)

Switzerland v Slovenia, Sat, 19:45

Switzerland have made an impressive start to this Nations League campaign, following a promising World Cup run with back-to-back 3-0 victories over North Macedonia and Scotland. Murat Yakin’s side have carried that momentum into the new campaign and are now unbeaten within 90 minutes in their last 11 matches, winning six and drawing five during that run.

Another victory would strengthen Switzerland’s grip on top spot, with their home record providing further encouragement. The Red Crosses have lost just once in their last eight matches on home soil, recording five wins and two draws in the process. They will therefore be confident of maintaining their perfect start against a Slovenia side that has also collected four points from its opening two fixtures.

Slovenia have plenty to be positive about after holding Serbia to a draw before beating Sweden, but their away form remains a concern. They have won just one of their last six matches on foreign soil, alongside two draws and three defeats. Switzerland’s strong home record and current momentum could make this a particularly difficult assignment.

BEST BET: Switzerland (2/7)
