Quarter-Final Match Betting and Predictions:
Thursday Feb 22nd
(Prices correct as of 4pm on Feb 19th)
(7:15pm) 15/20 Michael Smith v Nathan Aspinall 21/20 (Prediction – Nathan Aspinall, Michael Smith lost 4-6 to Rob Cross in last week’s quarter-finals in Glasgow, whilst Nathan Aspinall was also a losing quarter-finalist on a 3-6 scoreline to eventual runner-up Luke Humphries. On the basis of last Thursday’s performance, I’m going for a win for Nathan in this one as he has been throwing better than his opponent in recent weeks.) Correct Score Prediction – 4-6
(8pm) 8/5 Rob Cross v Luke Humphries 1/2 (Prediction – Luke Humphries, Rob Cross beat Michael Smith before losing 4-6 to MVG in the semi-finals last week in Glasgow, whilst Luke Humphries enjoyed wins over Nathan Aspinall and Gerwyn Price before losing 5-6 to MVG in a cracking final. For all that Rob Cross is playing well, Humphries looked his best since his world Championship win in Glasgow last week and is a confident selection to get the win in this contest.) Correct Score Prediction – 3-6
(8:45pm) 4/1 Peter Wright v Luke Littler 2/13 (Prediction – Luke Littler, Peter Wright is slowly getting his form back following a disappointing few months, but following a narrow loss to Gerwyn Price in the quarter-finals in Glasgow last week, Luke Littler was visibly upset with himself and will be coming out with all guns blazing to secure what I expect to be a comfortable win over Peter Wright in this game.) Correct Score Prediction – 2-6
(9:30pm) 11/10 Gerwyn Price v Michael van Gerwen 7/10 (Prediction – Gerwyn Price, This is a cracker of a quarter-final, following a big quarter-final win over Luke Littler, Gezzy then lost 3-6 to Luke Humphries in last week’s semi-finals, whereas MVG enjoyed wins against Peter Wright, Rob Cross and Luke Humphries en-route to a second successive week win. With all that in mind, I’m going for a Gerwyn Price victory in this contest and for Price to end a few weeks of domination by MVG in the League.) Correct Score Prediction – 6-4
Outright Betting:
Michael van Gerwen 12/5 – Luke Littler 11/4 – Luke Humphries 3/1 – Gerwyn Price 11/2 – Michael Smith 8/1 – Rob Cross 12/1 – Nathan Aspinall 33/1 Peter Wright 80/1
