17:15 5f BAR 1 Betting ‘Your First For Football’ Maiden (3yo+)

While GRAND CUVEE finished second in three of her last four starts, this looks like a perfect opportunity for her to get off the mark. She has only run once here and finished second to Institute on August 15. She was disappointing two starts back, but a return to the all-weather could see her in a better light.

Selection: Grand Cuvee

17:45 7f Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden (2yo)

Paddy Twomey and Billy Lee team up with SENSATIONAL FILLY and this filly has been working her way up the placings following a third and second on her last two starts. The form of her debut third has worked out well; the winner, Haven, was second in Group One company and third in a Listed race since. The fourth, Crayons In The Sky, has also come out and franked the form by winning at this venue.

Selection: Sensational Filly

18:15 1m4f BAR 1 Betting ‘Acca Boost’ Apprentice Handicap (4yo+)

Owned by the Dundalk Racing Club, the Adrian McGuinness-trained DOCTOR GRACE looks interesting with Nina Doherty taking seven pounds off its back. This filly is a two-time winner at the venue and won off a mark of 65 at Roscommon in May. She is off a mark of 50 here, but with Nina’s claim she is effectively in off a mark of 43. There is a chance she will come back to form at some stage and looks like a strong candidate to do so here.

Selection: Doctor Grace

18:45 1m Irish Stallion Farms EBF Cooley Fillies Stakes (Listed Race) (3yo+)

Karl Burke and Clifford Lee team up with LEADING DANCER and she looks an interesting runner for the raiding team. This filly was a listed winner at Newbury back in October 2025 and ran a cracker at the same venue on her next start behind Catullus in September. She started 13/8f in the Prix de Saint-Cyr at Longchamp and was very unlucky in the run. She flew home in the closing stages and was beaten 1 ¾ lengths in seventh. There is a chance she will come back to form here and go close with luck in running.

Selection: Leading Dancer

19:15 1m Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C & G) Maiden (2yo)

Joseph O’Brien and Joey Sheridan team up with a son of Justify called ON JUST TERMS. This colt was third in a Naas barrier trial before outrunning his odds when second in the Chesham behind Nola Soul at Royal Ascot. He was slowly away, and when switched right, he stayed on strongly to go second close to home. There is a chance of more improvement to come, and he should take a world of beating here if he has improved from Royal Ascot.

Selection: On Just Terms

19:45 1m BAR 1 Betting ‘2Up Early Payout’ Handicap (3yo+)

A new recruit to the Stephen Thorne team, JOLLY ROGER is of interest with Jack Kearney in the saddle. This horse was formerly trained by Simon & Ed Crisford and just won once from ten starts, but it was on the all-weather at Kempton in December 2024. A couple of runs in Meydan early in the year also heighten the interest in this gelding and the market will tell us plenty about what is expected.

Selection: Jolly Roger

20:15 1m BAR 1 Betting Bet Builder Boost Handicap (3yo+ 0-60)

The final race on the card looks a competitive puzzle to try and solve, but a chance is taken with the Pat O’Donnell-trained POLANCO, who has been consistent in recent starts at this venue. When he ran last time, he likely paid the price for being too close to the pace and if he is ridden third or fourth early here, he might see out the trip better. He has got his act together for this yard of late and surely his turn isn’t too far away.

Selection: Polanco
