Tommy Fleetwood is back to defend his title, where he finished on -22; there are plenty of potential challengers this week.
DP World India Championship Tips

Shane Lowry
Shane Lowry is on the crest of a wave at the moment and returns to India after finishing tied third last year behind Tommy Fleetwood and Keita Nakajima. His opening round of 64 was spectacular and enough to lead the way after round one. He was probably slightly disappointed at how the weekend finished, but he will look to right those wrongs this week.
The Amgen Irish Open winner was consistent tee to green, and this is a course that should really suit. His accuracy from the tee would be one his strong traits and with the fact that he has shown he can go low here suggests he could be one of the main contenders this week. The Irish Open victory was a domination of his rivals, and if he can get off to a flying start, he could be victorious in a similar vein here.
Daniel Hillier
The New Zealander is another with course form, having finished T9 here last year. His driving and short game are his strengths, and his approach play has been solid of late to give him those birdie chances without needing to overpower a tough course.
He finished runner-up at the Dubai Invitational and won the New Zealand Open in February. He was also runner-up at the British Masters in August, suggesting his form has been consistent all season. He has finished inside the Top 40 in his last four tournaments, and while he will need to improve on that to contend, there is a chance that could happen.
He is one of the slightly bigger-priced players who could put himself in a position early. His opening round last year was 69.

It’s now 10 years since SSP Chawrasia won the Indian Open here, and that was the last time a DP World Tour event was staged at the track prior to last year’s inaugural edition of this event.
Course form has always stood up here, and year after year the same names appear on the leaderboards. The course itself is relatively short, measuring 6,912 yards and tree-lined with narrow fairways, meaning accuracy off the tee will be key.
