Bournemouth v Brentford, Sat, 15:00
A meeting of two Brazilian number nines, as the Cherries Evanilson faces off against Thiago from the Bees. The former has looked lively this season without finding the net, but having scored 16 league goals across the last two seasons, Evanilson’s wait surely won’t go on for too much longer.
Only Erling Haaland scored more Premier League goals than Igor Thiago last season, and while he’s also waiting to open his league account for 2026/27, the 25-year-old did net in Brentford’s League Cup win at Birmingham last month.
The hosts have had a habit of cucking away points late in games so far this season, but they look sharp in attack with eight goals from four games in all competitions. As for Keith Andrews’ Brentford, they’ve picked up where they left off from a stellar campaign last season.
Both teams to score has clicked in Brentford’s last three games and in all three of Bournemouth’s league games.

Chelsea v Hull City, Sat, 15:00
Chelsea have already claimed the crown of being the ‘great entertainers’ this season, but Sunday’s defeat at Arsenal was a reminder of the levels they need to reach if they want to win proper titles this season. The Blues were involved in another slugfest midweek, as Xavi Alonso’s side came from two down to defeat Leeds 6-3 in a bonkers EFL Cup tie.
Hull City remain unbeaten in the league, but they were thrashed 4-0 by Chelsea in last season’s FA Cup, and with Cole Palmer and best bud Morgan Rogers cooking this season, the Tigers may be on the end of a mauling at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool v Fulham, Sat, 15:00, Premier Sports 1 (Ireland)
Perhaps it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it is taking Liverpool time to find their feet under the watch of Andoni Iraola, given it took the Spaniard ten games to get off the mark in the league when he first took over at Bournemouth.
Iraola has his own way of doing things; his approach is the polar opposite of Arne Slot’s, and as a result, patience may be required from the Anfield faithful. That’s why the midweek win against Atletico was so important; those sorts of results go a long way to building up some early goodwill.
A slip-up at home to a team like Fulham would certainly not aid the cause. Alexander Isaak opened his account for the season with a double against Ipswich last Friday, another early-season positive given his struggles last year.
Fulham are also adapting to life under a new Spanish boss with ex-Red Álvaro Arbeloa replacing Marco Silva at Craven Cottage. The former Madrid boss brought a couple of young talents with him from the Bernabéu, with Cesar Palacios bagging his first goal in England against Crystal Palace last time, and Gonzalo Garcia having found two goals from four apperances in all competitions.
Josh King is another hotshot who has netted twice this season for Fulham, and with Liverpool looking far from watertight, an entertaining encounter could be on the cards. Both teams to score has come up in six of the last seven encounters, with four of the last five contests yielding over 3.5 goals.
