Chelsea v Brighton, Sun, 14:00, Sky Sports Main Event

Having scored seven goals between them across the opening round of Premier League matches, Chelsea v Brighton should be a fun watch at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Chelsea appeal as contenders to be this season’s great entertainers, having taken just 32 seconds to open their goals account on Monday at Fulham, but the Blues looked shaky at the back, particularly between the posts, so Brighton will fancy their chances having hammered Aston Villa last Sunday.

Cole Palmer looked back to his best having missed out on the World Cup, while Morgan Rogers notched on his Blues debut. As for Brighton, they followed up their smashing Premier League start with another 4-0 win on Thursday in Europe. This could be a goal-fest.

Best bet: Over 3.5 goals (29/20)

Manchester United v Ipswich Town, Sun, 16:30, Sky Sports Main Event

Michael Carrick’s bid to prove that he is indeed the man to restore Manchester United to their past glories couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start away to Hull last weekend. That means there is no room for error as another newly promoted side, Ipswich, comes to Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Tractor Boys got off to a flyer last weekend with a late winner against Sunderland, and they’ll be seeking to pounce on any jitterness around the Theatre of Dreams.

One player who did look sharp in pre-season for United was Bryan Mbeumo, who scored a brace against Atletico Madrid and another goal against European champions PSG prior to the new campaign. The former Brentford man enjoyed a solid first season at the Red Devils with 11 league goals and may have a big part to play on Sunday. Six of those 11 goals came at home and with doubts continuing to hang over the suitability of Benjamin Šeško, Mbeumo may have to step up again this term.

Best bet: Bryan Mbeumo anytime scorer (6/5)
