Cody Now Favourite For Sprint Cup Glory

Good Cody is now the 7/2 fav to land the 2021 Bar One Racing Irish Sprint Cup having broken 21 seconds in Saturday’s second round heats. Having posted a 20:92 in the opening round, John Kennedy’s dog is the form dog heading into Saturday’s quarter-finals.

Last year’s beaten finalist Brodys Magic was surprisingly beaten in round two and faces a stiff task in the second quarter-final this weekend. David Murray’s dog is now 4/1 second favourite having suffered defeat in the latest round.

Marie Gilbert’s Agent Stanley (6/1) displayed blistering early pace to post a 20:89 winning time in the second round and he’ll go in the fourth quarter-final from trap 5.

Athenry based trainer Gerry Holian remains four-handed, with his second round winners Long Santiago and Buttsys Bengal (10/1) likely to play a leading part through the closing rounds.

Corbrack Price (10/1) has posted two winning performances in the opening rounds and will contest the first quarter-final on Saturday evening, a race that will feature two Liam Dowling trained dogs Ballymac Rule (12/1) and Ballymac Maxwell (16/1).
