BarOneRacing.com have teamed up with Ireland’s premier racing commentator Jerry Hannon to bring you and your friends & family the chance to win a day at the races you’ll never forget with thanks to the Bar One Racing commentary challenge.

First, let’s tell you about the sensational prize on offer…..The winner of the Bar One Racing commentary challenge will not only receive a VIP day out at Fairyhouse on Sunday November 29th including dinner for 4 but also the opportunity to join the man himself Jerry Hannon in the booth as he calls them home in this years Royal Bond Novice Hurdle.

All you have to do to scoop this scintillating prize is simply attempt a commentary of your own on the 2019 Royal Bond famously won by the Gordon Elliott trained superstar Envoi Allen.

Included in this blog post is a simplified race card in order to help you prep for your commentary challenge as well as the all important race footage itself. When you feel ready to start your call simply watch the race on a laptop/tablet (on mute or low ) and record your commentary using voice notes on your smartphone.

Send your audio file to kieranburke@baroneracing.ie and our tech heads will do the rest.

The winner will be chosen by Jerry Hannon himself meaning this is a great opportunity for racing fans & aspiring young commentators alike to get involved.

We are calling on all racing fans aged 18+ to try their hand at calling the Bar One Racing – Royal Novice Bond 2019 race home! Get top tips from renowned Irish commentator Jerry Hannon and if you win, you will get the chance to see him call a race home in person on your VIP Day out at Fairyhour with three guests of your choosing!
Whether you fancy yourself as a pundit, a comedian or just wanna give it a go – we want to hear from you now!
To enter Bar One Racing “Commentary Challenge ” simply record yourself calling this race home.
How to enter:
1. Watch the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle video provided
2. Make your notes using racecard available on blog.
2. Use your phone to record your commentary whilst watching the race on a separate device.
3. Send your audio file via email to kieranburke@baroneracing.ie and don’t forget to include your name,age and county of residence.
4. Keep on eye on our social media for your entry or find it on Twitter and Insta with hashtag #BORCC
How winner is selected:
1. Bar One Racing studio team will short list five best entries
2. Renowned Irish commentator Jerry Hannon will select the best entry of short listed entries
3. Winner will be announced via public notice on all our Social Media platforms on Thursday 30th April 2020

As a participant, you will be automatically bound by these terms and conditions.
• Entry into the BARONERACING.COM COMMENTARY CHALLENGE 2020 is free.
• All those who want to enter must apply by midnight Wednesday 29th of April 2020  via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
• Audio files featuring profanity or slanderous language will be excluded
• Entrants that do not provide proof of age will be deemed invalid.

• To the fullest extent permitted by law, BarOneRacing Ltd hereby excludes all warranties, representations, covenants and liability (whether express or implied) regarding the prize or a prize draw.
