What a week it is for racing, with not one, but two, four-day festivals taking place from Wednesday to Saturday.

In England, it is York’s Ebor meeting, while Killarney takes centre stage in Ireland with its August Festival.

Wednesday 21 August

First race, 1:55pm; Over £1.5million in prize-money

The day’s racing includes:

  • £100,000 Group 3 Acomb Stakes (5f, 2yo, 2:25pm)
  • £170,000 Group 2 Great Voltigeur Stakes (12f, 3yo, 3pm)
  • £1million Group 1 Juddmonte International Stakes (10.5f, 3yo+, 3:35pm), with an exceptional nine-runner line-up – ante-post prices available here

First race, 2:10pm for a mixed card that features the €50,000 Larkins Bar Handicap Chase (5:05pm, 2m1f)


Thursday 22 August

First race, 4:35pm for a mixed card that features the €50,000 KWD Kingdom Gold Cup Handicap (1m6f, 6:10pm)



Friday 23 August

First race, 4:45pm for a National Hunt card that features a €50,000 2m4f handicap chase at 7:10pm; also on the card is a €26,000 handicap hurdle (2m6f, 5:55pm)


Saturday 24 August

First race, 1:20pm for a flat card that features the €50,000 Racing TV Vincent O’Brien Ruby Stakes (Listed Race, 3:05pm, 8f)

The week’s racing in Britain a three-day (Fri, Sat and Sun) meeting at Goodwood, some details as follows:


First race, 5pm, with a £30,000 6f handicap at 6:35pm



First race, 1:30pm, with the feature race being the following:

  • £125,000 Group 2 Celebration Mile (3yo+, 2:05pm)
  • £50,000 Group 3 Prestige Stakes (7f, 2yo, 2:40pm)
  • £100,000 Group 3 March Stakes (14f, 3yo, 3:50pm)
  • A £75,000 7f handicap (3:15pm)




First race, 2pm, with the main races being:
