Racing in Ireland this week includes a big night (Friday) at Dundalk where the feature is the €75,000 qualifier for the Kentucky Derby. Mint juleps will be in plentiful supply on what should be a very good night in County Louth.
At Navan (Saturday), the centrepiece is the Grade 3 ‘Flyingbolt’ Chase, while there is a €50,000 handicap chase at Leopardstown (Sunday).
In Britain, the weekend will include Newbury’s £50,000 Grade 3 Greatwood Gold Cup, Lingfield’s £45,000 Spring Cup, Kelso’s £60,000 Premier Chase and Doncaster’s £55,000 Grimthorpe Chase (all on Saturday), while Sunday will see Huntingdon stage the £30,000 Cambridgeshire National and Sedgefield feature the £30,000 Young Chasers Series Final.
