First Round Match Betting:

Thursday October 25th

(Prices correct as of 1pm on October 21st)

(7pm) 7/10 Steve West v Mervyn King 23/20 (Prediction – West, Steve West comes into this match in better form than Mervyn King and is a strong fancy to take the win)

(7:30pm) 2/5 Ian White v Robert North 9/5 (Prediction – White, Ian White has been playing very well of late and should be too good for his more inexperienced rival in this)

(8pm) 7/10 Simon Whitlock v Steve Beaton 23/20 (Prediction – Whitlock, Both players in reasonable form coming in to this and maybe Simon Whitlock’s finishing could be the difference)

(8:30pm) 1/3 Michael Smith v Steve Lennon 23/10 (Prediction – Smith, A tough opening game for Michael Smith, that said he’s strongly fancied to get the win)

(9pm) 4/7 Joe Cullen v Jelle Klaasen 11/8 (Prediction – Klaasen, Two entertaining players to watch and at the prices Jelle Klaasen is the suggestion having been playing back into a bit of form lately)

(9:30pm) 1/20 Michael van Gerwen v Paul Nicholson 17/2 (Prediction – van Gerwen, Paul Nicholson has been playing well on the circuit recently but the betting points to a win for the World No.1 Michael van Gerwen as he bids to win this tournament for a fifth time in his career)

(10pm) 7/20 Rob Cross v Danny Noppert 85/40 (Prediction – Cross, The World Champ is fancied to take the win here despite Noppert being in very good form as he proved by winning one of the players championships at the City West just a few weeks ago )

(10:30pm) 2/7 Peter Wright v Jermaine Wattimena 13/5 (Prediction – Wright, Peter Wright should be too good in this one and should comfortably progress to the second-round (last 16))

Friday October 26th

(Prices correct as of 1pm on October 21st)

(7pm) 23/20 Jonny Clayton v James Wilson 7/10 (Prediction – Clayton, A close game looks on the cards and slight preference is for Jonny Clayton at the prices)

(7:30pm) 8/11 Darren Webster v Stephen Bunting 11/10 (Prediction – Webster, Darren Webster is playing really well this season and should be too good for Stephen Bunting who has become very hit and miss with more miss than hit in recent times)

(8pm) 6/10 Gerwyn Price v Kyle Anderson 13/10 (Prediction – Price, Gerwyn Price is coming back to form after a recent injury niggle and may win this closely fought encounter)

(8:30pm) 1/4 Mensur Suljovic v Cristo Reyes 3/1 (Prediction – Suljovic, It’s hard to see anything other than a win for The Gentle who should have no problem getting the win over his Spanish opponent)

(9pm) 1/2 Daryl Gurney v Ricky Evans 8/5 (Prediction – Gurney, Daryl Gurney is fancied to come through this one against Rapid Ricky Evans with Gurney playing well enough to suggest he will progress)

(9:30pm) 4/6 Max Hopp v William O’Connor 23/20 (Prediction – Hopp, Max Hopp took a players championship in the City West a few weeks ago and will fancy his chances of progressing to the last 16 (second round))

(10pm) 1/2 James Wade v Martin Schindler 6/4 (Prediction – Wade, James Wade has become a father recently to a wee son (Arthur) and with spirits high looks to be the call in this contest)

(10:30pm) 9/10 Adrian Lewis v Dave Chisnall 10/11 (Prediction – Chisnall, The tie of the opening round and we should be treated to lots of 180’s in this, on current form Chizzy gets the call for the win)
