Form:
Both Dallas and Houston have been somewhat disappointing thus far in 2018 – and both see this game as a chance for redemption.
The Match:
Zeke Elliott is leading the league in rushing (as he did as a rookie) and the Cowboys will attempt to impose their will on the Texans with a ground and pound attack featuring Elliott. Not so fast, my friends. Houston has been stout against the run this year, and Dallas has yet to find a reliable receiver.
There is more good news for the Texans when Houston has the ball. Dallas has been good at rushing quarterbacks who stay in the pocket – but DeShaun Watson’s legs are as dangerous as his arm. Dallas has lost to both of the mobile dual-threat QBs they have faced – Newton and Russell.
Verdict:
All things considered, take the Texans at minus 3 points for the upset.
Give some slight thought to the over – but best bet is Houston for the win.
That’s it until next week and remember – you can’t win if you don’t play.
